I am happy to report that I’ve finally wrapped up Saturday and have moved on to Sunday. Also, Sunday so far is moving along quicker.
Also in the time I have had waiting for renders from Saturday, I’ve been able to review some of the Friday renders and I am not happy with some of my expressions. I’ll likely redo these at some point. When creating I often don’t repose full upper body during conversations so I think in my mind I want their facial expressions to be exaggerated to compensate…the result is it looks a lot less realistic. Mouth way to wide open for a conversation. I am trying to correct this as I go on, making conversations look more realistic, especially in close ups.
I also am happy with the size reductions on images so much so that I have done so for week 1 and 2 also. This will make distributions much smaller going forward with little to no quality reduction. Given I am now rendering in 2k, this is as much as 5-6x smaller per render.
I did have a small trip this week for work but thankfully I was able to queue an animation on each PC and complete them while away. This puts me at 8 remaining lewd scene animations. These are all for the side characters. I think I’ve mentioned it before, but this week all of your love interests, except Amy if you’ve chosen her romance path, this is first date so I felt lewd scenes wouldn’t be realistic. In fact, I am still struggling with the decision to make the second date the ‘all the way’ and may stagger that. I have to look at my overall design notes to see if I can realistically have some LIs commit to that in week 4 and others later during the bigger free roam group events or just commit to any LIs you’ve courted will sleep with you in week 4. I am leaning to the former so long as I can make it work in the story. To me, certain LIs like Tracie and Tara are more wholesome and less likely to be so ready to jump in the sack. Because week 5 will include a (hopefully) very large free roam beach party event, I may be able to sneak a couple of dates that same week where it feels more natural a progression for the more innocent LIs, whereas some of the more mature would be less worried about the quicker progression, i.e. Amy, Juliet. Also, Amy is on her second date with the MC this week if you chose romance path. I am not completely sure that means the MC and her will go all the way mostly because their date is already set to be the largest of the week. Maybe that is how I’ll open week 4.
For those who care less about the LIs and the path of romance and just want scenes, they will be available with non-LIs…so either a second playthrough or just making choices not involving the LIs whenever possible.
Finally, I can’t recall if I offered what the dates will entail, but this week your dating scene will involve:
Escape Room, VIP after Party (but for nerds), A walk in old Victorian gardens (but with a twist), a day off from dating, but maybe a visit to your favorite coffee shop, a baking class, Craft fair and finally a Victorian costume party evening of murder (think reenacting a knives out movie).
