Well, this past week has been amazing for progress. While Saturday’s date scene dragged down render production, the exact opposite happened with both Sunday and Monday. The assets were very giving and full renders were taking a fifth of the time of Saturday. The two days are also pretty straight forward as well. Sunday is the same scene with one of two LIs. That made it a bit tricky code wise, but posing was pretty reasonable. Not my favorite way of writing a scene and one I’ll avoid except when necessary.
That said, this week blessed me to complete not only Sunday, but Monday also. There is a larger set of animations tied to Monday (Member sneak peeks coming later this weekend) that are still in queue on the old PC but all surrounding renders, coding and dialog is complete, pending small edits on replay and testing. I’ve even finished a handful of Tuesday renders and am currently working on the Tuesday date (Juliet and a Baking Class).
This leaves Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and about a month if i am to hit my target release for week 3. While this sounds like a lot, it is still a crunch. Wednesday is going to be the largest, by far, and most complicated scene to code. I am looking forward to this scene the most but also it is the most daunting. I am saving it for last. I’ll work on Thursday after Tuesday then circle back to Wednesday. Last update I referenced Wednesday as Thursday which was in error. I had two versions but settled on this scene being Wednesday so your last day of the week is almost a cool down after the Wednesday scene.
Anyhow, with those, the animations, audio and testing, hitting October 1st is an ask (Or even the 29th as Tuesday releases feel right). I am not setting it in stone but I will say release will happen in October 100%.
Also, I haven’t talked too much about it, but there is also a system by which those you may have had more immediate fun in week 2 will return in weeks 3 and 4. I have posed and rendered about half of these scenes (but still need to actually develop the before and after) and I make sure that the old PC is working on these as much as I can.
All in all, happy with the week and look forward to next week.
PS I also brought back the % as a rough estimate in the image header!
